The Mental Health Advocacy Service is a division of South East Advocacy Projects. We provide direct advocacy for adult users of Mental Health Services within East Sussex through our clinics and individual appointments.

We can provide support at outpatient appointments and in patient ward rounds as well as informal support at Mental Health act tribunals. Geoff Barnes and Anne Dawson are our Hastings based advocates, Yana Horton is our advocate based in Eastbourne. Emma Carrick is the full time friendly voice and supports the admin needs of the service. I act as the County Manager but also provide direct advocacy as needed. We have a great team of peer advocates across the County. Anyone wishing to volunteer for our service can apply to attend one of our training sessions.
